After last upgrade of this plugin I can’t get rid of this notice:

Google Analytics Dashboard for WP has been updated to version 5.1.2.3. For details, check out the documentation page and the plugin’s settings page.

Please fix this as this is extremely annoying.

  • Hi,

Try to dismiss it from an Incognito/Private broeser window.

The main cause of the issue is either a JavaScript error generated by other plugins on you dashboard or a privacy browser extension like Adblock, which are known to heavily disrupt the normal functionality of analytics plugins.

    Alin,
Thank you for quick answer. There have been no other plugins updated recently, just yours. Any privacy browser plugins are completely disabled for my sites.
Anything I can kick in the DB to get rid of this message?

    In options table delete gadwp_got_updated.

From next release I will also hook the deletion of this option to the Reset Errors button, as a backup. Ideally it would be just not to show-up that notice, but I need a way to let Admins know that an automatic update has occurred, when enabled.

Thank you. Actually your plugin code is good. The problem was that option was stuck somehow in my APCu cache.

Sorry for false alarm. I will know where to look next time it happens. Thank you for amazing support.

Hello Grzegorz, can I ask you to leave a review about your experience?

I’m trying to encourage people to do that and this seems like a good topic to ask. ??

I have already given you 5 stars and good review ??

I am just curios, are you sure you use delete_option? If you mess directly with database, then the option may be left over in the object cache, while it is gone from the DB.
