Can’t Get Single Record Link Field Options to Update

For reference, I’m using Version 1.8.4.8. I’ve also bought and have installed Chosen Dropdown Element, Combination Multi Search, and Custom Templates.

I just had the same question about making the featured image in a list clickable. Most users are now instinctively clicking on images to go to another page.

@lance2j in previous versions of the plugin, there is no issue getting the image field to work as the link — I’m wondering if something changed in a recent update since I think @xnau webdesign mentioned he recently reworked how this field operates.

This is still working in my tests.

Is the specific problem you’re having that you cannot select the image field in the “Single Record Link Field” setting?…or is that you can, but it doesn’t stay selected after saving the settings?

Just trying to chase down what I need to be looking at.

What is the form element type of your image field?

The image field itself simply does not show in the Single Record Link Field picklist. The form element type is a rich text field, would that cause the issue?

UPDATE: Per xnau’s response, it seems that the issue was that rich text fields cannot be set as the link. I changed the <image> to be an image type instead and the field began showing up in the picklist!
