Can’t Get Slider To Work

I’m using storefront them and woocomerce and trying to use Slider Responsive Slideshow – Image slider, Gallery slideshow plug in but, I cant figure out where and how to enter the short code ?? I’d like to install the slideshow below the header. Can someone help please. This is driving me nuts :-(. I’ve built plenty of websites but, never used wordpress to build a site. Not finding it very user friendly ?? HELP PLEASE!!!
