Can't get the first sidebar to appear on front page

I’ve just changed my website theme to Arcade, and I can’t get the first sidebar to appear on the front page, even though I have set a static front page and I have selected a right-hand sidebar layout.

I have three widgets positioned in the first sidebar area, but they are not appearing on the front page, though they do appear on other pages.

Apart from that I’m very pleased with the template. Can anyone help?
