    Hi there.

I think this plugin could be just what I’m looking for, but I’m having some trouble getting past step 3 of the External Setup and would appreciate any help.

I’ve added the test.txt file for my main website, russellip.com, and can see it at https://russellip.com/test.txt.

I’m using Cloudflare for that website.

I have a spare domain, russellip.uk, which I’ve added to Cloudflare too. In Cloudflare, I’ve changed the nameservers to be the Cloudflare name servers for russellip.com and have changed the A record to point to the same IP address as is in the A record for russellip.com.

When I go to russellip.uk or russellip.uk/test.txt, I get taken to an ad page, whereas I assumed I’d get taken to russellip.com and https://russellip.com/test.txt respectively.

Please could you let me know if I’ve done something wrong here or if I need to do any extra steps?

I’m wondering if I need to do something to the CNAME record for russellip.uk perhaps?

    Many thanks in advance!

    hy.

it looks like your hosting environment is not yet aware of that .uk domain. that’s what this test with test.txt is all about. so you should ask your hosting provider for help on how to point all domains to the same directory.

unfortunately we can’t help you out with that.

if you are looking for more support you can have a look at our partner plugin “domain mapping system” which is described here: https://www.falkemedia.at/multiple-domain-mapping-on-single-site-premium/

    good luck ??

Thanks very much. I’ve been playing around with it and have managed to get it to work now (apart from having to think about SSL certificates).

Basically, I had to change the nameservers to those of my hosting provider and then add the .uk domain as a parked domain.

The plugin now works as expected (albeit I need to get some extra SSL certificates)!

Thanks very much for your help!
