Can't get WP to work on a new install

  • Hi, so I got a new domain, changed nameservers (27 hours ago), added the domain to “Addon domains” in cPanel and installed the latest WordPress.

    When I load the URL for login: “www.domain.com/wp-admin/”, I just get this error https://prntscr.com/4tcxts

    I don’t get it, I installed WP hundreds of times and never saw this (I also tried to delete and install again, same issue).

  • In your cPanel sidebar you should see “Dedicated IP Address”. If you enter that IP along with the Document Root of your Addon domain, you should be able to access WordPress:

    e.g. https://123.45.678.90/add-on-domain/wp-admin/

    If that works, then there is a problem with your domain, and you need to go back to your Domain Registrar to check the domain forwarding or Name Server.

    If that does not work, then WordPress is not installed correctly.
