Cant Hide Category Title

I have a Child Theme on a twenty twelve theme, I installed the plug in and I get the images to show up but I can not get the text to hide. I have gone to the FAQ and tried to install the code that is listed but still wont work. I am sure I am not adding the code to the right place. Thanks in advance for any help.
