I’ve unchecked the Display teacher’s name in the settings and it’s still showing on my lessons. I use Sensei LMS with Astra theme.

    Hello @yohannh,

I can’t find the specific settings you mentioned – Display teacher’s name. I wonder if this is a setting included in the Astra theme. Can you try switching to a different theme and see if you can still find the same settings, and if you can still see the teacher’s name in the lessons as author?

Sensei has a setting to hide the lessons author’s name on Course archive and My Courses page (Sensei LMS > Settings > Course tab).

Let me know what you find out!

So sorry I’ missed your answer!

The setting I’m talking about is actually Display Lesson Author (I wrongly translated from my french installation)

It still displays By [author’s name] and the date at the top of the pages of the lessons even when unchecked.

    Hi there, @yohannh,

It still displays By [author’s name] and the date at the top of the pages of the lessons even when unchecked.

If the Display Lesson Author:?Output the Lesson Author on Course single page & Lesson archive page. option is unchecked on Sensei LMS > Lessons > Settings, then it’s possible that there’s a conflict between a plugin or the theme.

Can you try to switch your theme to Twenty Twenty temporarily and see if the problem persists?

If the issue persists, please temporarily deactivate all your plugins (and keep Sensei enabled) and check if the problem gets fixed that way. If it works, then reactivate each plugin individually to find out which is causing problems.

Let me know how you get on!

    Hi,

I switched to Twenty Twenty and the author lesson is gone. Does that mean it is a problem with Astra? I read it was a compatible theme.

Hey @yohannh – it might be possible they have introduced any new feature in Astra or did some changes in the code recently, which we are not aware of and are creating the issue. In order to narrow down this issue, could you please activate the Astra theme again and deactivate all plugins except Sensei LMS to check if the issue still persists?

If the issue is still there, then you can reach out to the Astra team to notify them about the issue you are getting, and if the issue doesn’t exist with the Astra theme installed and other plugins deactivated (except Sensei LMS plugin), then you can activate all plugin again one by one to check which plugin is conflicting with Astra here. ??

For the moment I hid the unwanted block with CSS, but I’m gonna check if it’s a plugin or theme conflict.

    Thanks

Hey @yohannh – Sure, it sounds like a good plan! Hiding the unwanted block with CSS is a temporary solution, and investigating potential plugin or theme conflicts is a good next step. This will help ensure a more stable and sustainable solution for the issue. Keep us posted on your findings, and let me know if you need any assistance along the way.
