Can't import backup, permissions error.

  • I’m trying to import my backup into a new WP installation. It uploads the file then gives me the error..

    Unable to import
    Ensure that file permissions are correctly set-up – 775 or 777 to /var/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/httpdocs/wp-content directory and all files and folders that it contains.

    I have set every folder/file including wp-content to 777, and tried importing and still receive this error.

  • I’m getting the same error. Naturally I made the wp-content folder permissions 777 like the message says to do and also re-installed the plugin without any luck.

    Waiting on next update from the plugin developer.

    I got it to work the first time I used it but it was on a sub folder in a regular linux web host. I am trying to do it now on a managed WP host at Go Daddy. Might be some internal setting that is creating the hiccup besides the permission. You might try Duplicator as an alternative.

    Has anyone figured this out yet? I’m having the same issue even after setting the required permissions.

    Hi just copy and paste in folder plugin (storage) and restore backup from the place you want. Works for me.

    Can you download the pre-release version of the plugin from https://www.dropbox.com/s/r0598pk2t48y9vh/all-in-one-wp-migration.zip?dl=0 and make sure to export/import with the same one?

    Uploaded to both new and old sites. No longer able to just download just comments or other elements (in order to test), it always delivers the full download. When I did get the file uploaded I got the following message…
    “The plugin cannot write to /home/content/p3pnexwpnas10_data01/75/2536575/html/wp-content/./index.php. FTP to your server, and change file’s permission to either 664 or 666, then try again.”

    Is there anywhere we can download the previous version that has worked fine?

    You can pick our previous versions from https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/developers/ by clicking the versions number.

    Is the previous version you are asking the one that creates .zip?
    If yes, it is 2.0.5.

    Thank you that. Sadly GoDaddy will not allow that version to run and deactivates it only allowing an update.

    Hi there, I can see an update was due on the 20th April. Would this fix the problem we are encountering? If so is there an ETA for the update?
    The problem we are encountering it sadly renders what was a truly great plugin unable to do anything.

    Has there been any progress for figuring out what’s wrong with the permissions? I am getting the same error but the dropbox link to download the most recent version is no longer working. Did anyone get this to work correctly?

    I am in the same situation too.

    Have used All-In-One before with no problem.

    However, I am unable to restore back-up file from my test site to a GoDaddy hosted domain.

    The GoDaddy site gives me an error message when trying to install All-In-One:

    Could not create directory. /home/content/p3pnexwpnas09_data03/70/2629270/html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/
