Can’t Insert Pictures in a Blog Post

  • I am using the tools within the post interface to insert pictures into posts and all is going well except for in ONLY SOME of my posts, when I am editing them, the icons to insert pictures, etc. are non-functional.

    If I create a new post, however, they work…

    Is there any reason for this anyone is aware of?

    The cursor / mouse recognizes them as an active link but when I click, nothing happens. No window opens, etc…

    Thanks for any help you can provide…

    I am able to “open” the submit image icon in a new window, but only in a new window.

    I can then locate photos to upload but the new window isn’t related to the blog post so it’s useless…

    Check with these options:

    -> Disable all the plugins and enable it one by one to find out the culprit.
    -> Assign 766 recursive permissions to wp-contents directory.
    -> Upgrade your wordpress to the latest version.

    As far as I know, I have the latest version.

    When I created a new post and put a bunch of pictures in, after a while the same thing happened to this post. Is there a limit to the number of pictures you can insert in a post or something before WP goes whacky?

    I have 8.4.2…

    When I try to insert pictures into a post I click the Add and Image button and then click the choose files to upload button and nothing happens, it just sits there. The button title changes color and that is it. I have the Atahualpa 3.4.4 theme. I can post pictures with web addresses but not from my computer hard drive.
