• Hello everyone.

I did a search for this issue and tried to fix it from the suggestions such as disabling all the plug-ins.

I recently updated to 3.1.1… actually I am almost positive I have 3.1.1 installed already and it was telling me to update again.

bklynTraveler is the only one I updated out of the few WordPress blogs I have. Didn’t update the others cause of the weird double update for the same version and the inability to do anything that seeminly uses AJAX

Do I need a Javascript update on the home computer? Use different browser? Server update? PHP update? As far as * can tell, uverything is updated (except for the server PHP… maybe, I can check when I get home)

Just throwing things out there. I thought of a total reinstall but that seemed silly for a link/ajax problem.

    Any suggestions?

  • sound server related… check to see whether you’re hosting is running the right php/apache combination to support wp 3.1.1 (it should be if it’s a good host!)

That might be it. Funny think is that my other blogs are running on a older PHP and they work fine but my photoblog is on 5.2.14 and its bad LOL

I’m updating it now hoping it will fix the issue.

Going to have to do a re-install. Luckily I don’t have too much on the site to begin with. My host for this site GoDaddy. I am not sure why their PHP is the outdated version but I asked them to update it.

In the mean tie I’m going to try another install to see if a fresh one fully works. Man, without AJAX, wordpress is really hard to use LOL

It was the theme I was using for the blog. It was somehow screwing with the admin page. Was using AutoFocus+ 1.2 by Allan Cole but when I switched to Monotone, everything is fine. Switch back to it and the admoin pages can’t use AJAX.

Guess I’ll be using another theme until I can figure out whats wrong with that theme.

Thanks for the help theotherlebowski. Hope this post helped others using the Aotofocus theme
