Can't install or update plugins within dashboard

  • Hi All!

    I am not sure what this issue stems from, but it is related to the plugins so that’s why I’m posting this here. If I’m not in the right place, please direct me to the right place. ??

    Everytime I try to update or install a plugin, it brings me to a page (I’ve never seen working in several wordpress websites) which says:

    Connection Information

    To perform the requested action, WordPress needs to access your web server. Please enter your FTP credentials to proceed. If you do not remember your credentials, you should contact your web host.

    Now I’ve tried entering my information to login, but it won’t work… please help me fix this. Godaddy told me it was related to one of my plugins and to deactivate them one at a time, which I did and that never fixed it.
