• When I try to install or upload a new plugin, I get this error message:

    Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to www.ads-software.com. Please contact your server administrator.) in /home1/lazlaw/public_html/wp-admin/includes/plugin-install.php on line 83

    An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

    I have looked at Line 83 of that code and it says this:

    trigger_error( __( ‘An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.’ ) . ‘ ‘ . __( ‘(WordPress could not establish a secure connection to www.ads-software.com. Please contact your server administrator.)’ ), headers_sent() || WP_DEBUG ? E_USER_WARNING : E_USER_NOTICE );

    I don’t really know what any of that means, or how to fix it. Can you help me?

    Are you able to use S/FTP to upload the files to your wp-content/plugins/ folder?

    If you don’t know your S/FTP credentials, ask your hosting company about them.

    I can access my cPanel and upload new plugins that way, however, I still get the error code

    I can also “Upload” plugins instead of searching for them and installing them through wordpress, but I still get this error:

    Something is causing this error. The problem is not necessarily that I can’t upload plugins. I’m trying to figure out what is causing these errors.

    Any ideas on how to fix this?
