Can’t install plugins on local host wp site

  • Hiya,

    I have a site hosted locally with Local by Flywheel and can’t install any plugins. When I try, I get this message,

    “Installation failed: Download failed. cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 out of 0 bytes received”

    I’ve read that this could be due to my local hosts firewall? Any help is much appreciated!

  • Have you tried downloading the .zip folder for the plugin from the repository and then using the “upload” button under “add plugin”?
