• Hi all, I hope someone can help me with this as I have been googling around the problem for a several hours with no luck.

I have recently migrated a clients WordPress site to a new CentOs dedicated server, the transfer went pretty smoothly but there is now one big problem.

I am now unable to install or update any plugins using the dashboard, I am trying to use the Twitter Widget Pro plugin but when I try to authorize my account I get a “Couldn’t connect to host” error message.

    Things that I know:

    • chmod -755 my wp-content folder doesn’t affect the issue
    • I have cURL installed
    • I have mod_rewrite enabled (checked via this method although the method mentioned in the post above that one does not work)
    • The fix described by lightwolf here does nothing

I have manually updated WordPress to 3.5.2 via FTP, at this point I am unsure of what else to try so if anyone can give me further tips it would be much appreciated!

So people have no ideas on this? I am tearing the little hair I have left out over this problem!

All we can really say is that this is a server issue – not a WordPress one. Sorry ??
