Can’t install version 1.7.9.19

  • When trying to update from version 1.7.8.11 to 1.7.9.19 I get the following error message

    An error occurred while updating SendPress Newsletters: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

    Hi trevorwood,

    I was able to update SendPress on my personal site to the current version. I updated from version 1.7.7.28, but the process is the same. I would give it another try and if it still fails I would download the current version and try a manual install.

    Tried again and still failed

    tried a manual install and got

    I usually see this when there’s an Apache Script problem

    Trevor, We had a couple people have some issues. I think there was an issue with downloading it from wp.org at some point. Most people fixed by deleting the plugin and reinstalling it from scratch. All your data will still be there.

    I wound up having to unpack it on my local machine and FTP it to my website
