Can't install wordpress in Wamp

  • Hello. I using WAMP and tried to install WordPress, with reading this tutorial. But when I enter database name, user, password (I leave it blank), database host and prefix, click “Submit” and browser loading and loading and this is to infinity.
    I don’t know what’s happen but when this loading – I can’t access phpmyadmin, too.

    for database host I use localhost:8081, because I have installed IIS (and it use port 80). So, I change WAMP default port in Apache-> httpd.conf to 8081.

    I also tried to set settings manual in wp-config-sample, but when I enter localhost:8081/mysite/wp-admin/install.php the page is loading again, and loading, and loading…

    Can you help me?

  • The default user for WAMP is “root”. Do you use this user for your installation?

    I tried with “root”, without password. I also tried to create another user from phpmyadmin (with password), but without success in both case.

    Can problem should be from PHP? I installed only WAMP. Do I need to install anything other?

    Have you tested other scripts? If other scripts are running, the problem is not php or mySQL. I myself prefer to use “EasyPHP” instead of WAMP. its much easier to use. If you can’t use WAMP, you can uninstall it and try EasyPHP.

    I tried only default WordPress installation (to enter data in instal-setup, step1) and it’s run (and when click “Submit” the page loading, and loading, and loading)…

    It seems it has problem with database connection. Maybe you can find the solution in Wamp support forum. As said, i prefer Easyphp instead of Wamp which works excellent.

    Yes i know ?? . I mentioned it again because i myself had a lot of problems with Wamp and after installing Easyphp, i don’t have any problem more. I am not affiliated with Easyphp ??

    I’ve been using it for about 8(?) years or so. Sure beats putting a WAMP server together. ??

    Hi again.

    I tried the same steps with easyphp, but again – without success… I change the port again (because port 80 is used by IIS). Currently, easyPHP server is on 127.0.0.1:8082.

    Can you help me?

    I remove IIS, but port 80 is used, again. I checked and it is from “The System”. I can’t install WordPress, again…
