can't install wordpress on Centos

The command is working fine, maybe you need to install wget command first:

yum install wget

ok it’s say its installed already but
i can’t access to wordpress on the broswer.
i tired:
https://wordpress/ “this page can not be display”
https://localhost ” this page can not be display”
https://your-ip – i’m gettinng apache test page

Try https:// instead of https://

wget https://www.ads-software.com/latest.tar.gz

You need a web server like Apache, PHP, MySQL and conectors between them.

When you say you try to visit your WordPress site installed on CentOS, if you have installed it via command line, I suppose that the graphical browser is not on the same machine, right?

Firstly try visiting your WordPress from the server, for example: lynx browser (command line browser).

Try to install LAMP (https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-linux-apache-mysql-php-lamp-stack-on-centos-6)
in your centos

And then install wordpress

i did all the steps (include install lamp)
the lamp is working fine, wordpress not.

is your https://localhost answering with any content?

if i go to https://localhost i see centos test page.

Maybe it is because you installed WordPress in a subdirectory like:

https://localhost/wordpress

or

https://localhost/wp

If https://localhost is working your web server is fine. Let’s find where your WordPress is.

At your file system check at /var/www too, or at your Apache httpd.conf configuration file.

There is no option to uploads file directly. You can always put the link to the file uploaded to any service like GoogleDrive, Dropbox, etc.

Since you are using CentOS 6, the default web directory is /var/www

From the command line:

$ cd /var/www
once you are in the web directory download the wordpress zip file using wget

$ wget https://www.ads-software.com/latest.zip

Open the archive;

$ unzip latest.zip

Once the archive is opened you will see the wordpress folder.

Now from the browser access the wordpress folder to start the installation;

https://localhost/wordpress or https://IP_address/wordpress

But before starting the installation you will need to create an empty database.

when i run “wget https://www.ads-software.com/latest.zip”
i’m getting error “Error:Cartificate common name ‘*.www.ads-software.com’ does not match requested host bane www.ads-software.com’

i try “https://IP_address/wordpress”
and getting error “your server running PHP version 5.1.6 but wordpress 4.4.2 requires at least 5.2.4”
what to do now ?

Quite clear: update your PHP version to the latest version (5.5): PHP.net
