The developer of Autoptimize was behind the adoption of the “skip-lazy” css tag added to images to prevent lazy loading. With Lazy loading turned on in Autoptimize, the “skip-lazy” tag is still on all images and lazy loading does not work. The only way to remove it is using the BJ Lazy Loading plugin. I would like the lazy loading to work in Autoptimize only. Why does it not remove the CSS class first proposed by the Autoptimize developer?!

if an image has “skip-lazy” it is supposed not to be lazyloaded not1_name, if you want lazyloading you’ll have to find out what is adding that and stop it from doing so. maybe disable plugins one by one (or change theme briefly) to find the culprit?

    hope this helps,

Yes, this is what I did. So it is not coming from Autoptimize then. Thank you for confirming that.

No it’s not from AO. Feel free to share from what it did come, in case others encounter the same problem.
