    Hi Gioni
Love your plugin and personal work with users. I just installed and can not log in…am locked out.
Admittedly, I checked the box to disable /Wp-login.php. Sorry, I didn’t understand that I need to create a custom url. I’m not up to that point yet.
I usually use /Wp-admin to get to log in page. That’s not working now.
What should I do now, please help asap?

    Understandable if Gioni is busy…
    Can anyone else help me?

    Additionally…
I am getting almost constant emails from wordpress, WP Cerber notify telling me about lockouts.

    This is the email message:
    Number of active lockouts: 17

Last lockout was added: October 27, 2015 2:16 pm

I’ve got way over 30 emails about every minute

    Hi, Kapacu!

Could you make a screenshot of the settings page OR export settings to the file and send it to me as attachment here: https://wpcerber.com/support/

If you unable to login, you have to remove plugin’s folder.

    Thank you
    Forgive me…
If I send a screen shot, isn’t that visible to public?
If I place an attachment, isn’t that also visible?
Sorry, I will comply, as long as I understand my security.

At this point….I pretty sure my settings are for a custom url with check boxes in the right places.
It is horribly inconsistent….and now I am locked out.
I used /Wp-admin, which redirected itself to my custom url (that shouldn’t happen)
I used /Wp-login.php and that correctly took me to “sorry but page not found” (ok fine)
Then I used my custom url but have now been locked out after 3 attempts
    Why is this so inconsistent?

Sending any file via support page https://wpcerber.com/support/ is absolutely safe.
You are locked out because your checked Immediately block IP after any request to wp-login.php and then try to access wp-login.php directly.

sorry i am having trouble both printing a screen shot to this box or exporting to file and my computer doesn’t know what program to open that with

    Gioni
How do I do a screen shot?
How do I do an export?
    I also have an iPhone
Additionally, I am getting lockout email notifications about every 2 to 10 minutes. I must have almost 100 for the day. What is going on?

First of all. Do you still unable to login? That’s weird. By default WP Cerber will block any IP for 60 minutes after the three unsuccessful attempts to log in.
You can export settings using Tools tab on the Settings page of the plugin.
You are getting new notification because your site is under attack now. Every time, when WP Cerber decide to block some IP it sends notification to you. It sends any email notification only if the number of locked out IP at the moment is above threshold in the Notify admin if the number of active lockouts above field.

    Thank you
    1. Yes I can log in now
    2. I agree my site is under attack, for what reason I do not know. I have nothing of importance there.
    3. I figured it was that notification setting. I just awoke and moved about 20 email notifications out of my inbox to a dedicatated folder.
    4. I am able to export from the tools tab. A document appears on my desktop but my computer does not recognize its format. And my iPhone, I have no idea. The best I have been able to do is get a bunch of text to show up in notepad.
    5. For screen shot, I hit control then print screen. Usually I would place that on a word doc page. For my iPhone i can capture a small part of the settings page at a time only and save it as a photo.

So it appears to be working now? Everything is OK?
About export settings. You just need attach wpcerber.config file, which you have downloaded, to the support form here: https://wpcerber.com/support/. Then I will be able to check it up.

    Thread Starter Kapacu

    (@kapacu)

I Will send you export when I get to office.
I wonder if I should uncheck notifications box?
Do you think I need SiteLock and SSL?
Do you think site was being attacked before and I just didn’t know it?
Should I black list the locked out IP’s? I don’t want to accidentally blacklist myself!

    Thread Starter Kapacu

    (@kapacu)

I just moved 28 email notifications delivered in the last 3 hours

    Fountain of the questions ??
Check notifications box or uncheck it is up to you.
SiteLock – what do you mean?
No, SSL is not a solution in cases like that.
Definitely yes. Hackers constantly have been trying to hack every site in the modern Internet . Because Internet doesn’t have boundaries and laws.
Use black list only for addresses that constantly trying to hack your site.

this is the message i get when i try to attach the file on your support contact form…

wpcerber.config – This type of file is not allowed. Must be one of the following: jpg, png, bmp
