Can't log in through email link

can you clarify, which one of those links is in the email?

Ok, so where does that first one redirect you?

You can access that page to login directly, so I don’t see how this is a fault of the plugin.

Once I log in it says…
“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
https://seattleseonetwork.org/wp-admin/profile.php – this is the path.

But if I open a new browser and go to the website it shows that I’m logged in. Something is triggering that page to show but I’m not sure what it is.

Ah, thats the default location logged in users are taken. If you go to /wp-admin and log in, it will do the same.

What is the user’s level/role? And are you blocking access to the dashboard in any way?

The user’s level is set to none. Yes, I am blocking access to the dashboard.

It seems that whenever I create an account from the job posting page it automatically sets the account to none.

None? Surely it must be subscriber or something?

With your code which blocks access to the dashboard, instead of blocking access, redirect them to the homepage.

Is it possible to just hard code the link in the email? If so, what file is it?

The registration email is actually generated by WordPress – you’ll need to change your dashboard script.

Would it be possible to post a job without signing up to be a user?

Yeah, the settings page covers that. You can turn off accounts for job submission.

I can’t take the credit for building the site and I’m still somewhat new to WordPress, but would the dashboard blocking script be in wp-login.php?

Doubt it – would be a plugin or in theme functions.php I would expect.

Okay, I just turned off the settings so it works it’s doing everything I want yay!!, but now I get a Fatal Error and it’s because of the Post Status Notifier plugin. Ahh!!

I just sent a message to the plugin author. Hopefully, he’ll get back with me as fast as you do.
