    Hey,

My client uses networksolutions and for some reason everything is under a frame for the domain name, the real url for everything being an ugly network solutions url.

The site works fine, but when I go to https://www.domainname.com/wp-admin/ and try to log in, it just refreshes the page. It does not say Invalid password or anything is just clears the input boxes.

Going to https://uglyur314134l.nethostetc.com/wp-admin works fine but is terrible difficult for my client to remember.

I am wondering why does it not work under a frame and how can it be fixed?

    Thanks!

Honestly, it can’t be fixed. Frames are bad. Work on eliminating them, because WordPress just isn’t going to work inside a frame.

Root problem is that most browsers don’t allow frames to set cookies, or they don’t send the cookies to the frame. It’s the “third party cookie” issue, and while you can set your browser to enable them, it doesn’t solve the fundamental problem that browsers don’t default to that setting.

Short version is that a URL frame type of redirect like this is always bad. Eliminating it is your only long term option.

    Alright thanks,

I will contact network solutions and hopefully they can handle this.

I don’t understand why it is nesting the entire site in a frame, bad setup on this hosting.

    -Cheers,
