Can't log in to my site's admin page

  • I have a WordPress free hosted website account and I’m having issues logging in to the Admin for the account. Every time I try to log in I get an error message stating can’t find hostname.orgwp-login.php ‘hostname’ being the name of my site. I believe the problem lays with the url that it states hostname .orgwp-login.php isn’t correct I know as it was prior to this issue hostname.org/wp-admin/ there seems to be a corruption in my admin login. Can you help me rectify this problem?

    Pre Clayton’s suggestion, my url is: presetorg.org and when I try to log in to my admin account I get the error message

    can’t find https://www.presetorg.orgwp-admin

    in my prior log ins when access was granted my admin link was

    https://www.presetorg.org/wp-admin/

    For some reason now when I try to log in the url that is attempting to be found has the forward slash missing at the place between .org and wp-admin

    Any help figuring this out is greatly appreciated.

    From the maintenance mode plugin that shows as your home page, I’m assuming you must have solved the problem?

    Nope having solved the issue. Still can’t log in

    How about if you use your FTP client to disable whatever maintenance plugin you’ve turned on, and then try it. Any difference then?

    Thanks for your help Clayton. I’ll give it a try. I’m probably just going to move my service to another host anyway and create a new site. I’m not well versed in using WordPress and need a content management interface that is simpler to use. I’m check in to Weebly and Wix.

    Hello, newbie here, otherwise a long-time wordpress site owner.

    Last year, after getting endless bot signins and having to approve people who didn’t really want to be members but just to sell sex aids, I added captcha-type security, but then when I went to sign in, it refused to let me in. I changed my password, very stupidly, and am now stuck.
    I haven’t been able to get in for months, even after asking my whizzkid who set it up for me initially, and he’s stymied too. So does anyone have a fix for me please? Even if I can merely delete the site, and start afresh, that would also be good.

    Please, please, help.
