I’m using the free version of your Profile Builder with Wishlist Member to allow members to make updates to their profile page. Unfortunately, when activated it blocks the ability for members to log in with their email address.

When trying to log in with email as username, WP gives this message:

Error: The username [email protected] is not registered on this site. If you are unsure of your username, try your email address instead.”

So something about the way your plugin functions causes attempted email logins to think it’s a username.

I’m only using your Profile Builder for the way it allows editing profiles, I don’t have anything activated that should mess with login options like email. Is there a setting I can change in your plugin so it won’t cause logins with emails not to work? Thanks in advance.

Never mind, I fixed it. There’s an option under General Settings:

General Settings => “Allow Users To Log in With: [Username / Username and Email / Email]

Apparently the default setting is “Email Only”, and I never checked it. After selecting “Username and Email” and saving, the issue is resolved.
