Can’t log into my dashboard and website disappeared

Also, just checked via FTP and the wp-login.php file does appear to be there.

if you can deactivate plugin, if not is probably one plugin that is doing this. so start deleting plugins

No, can’t get into the site at all.

I found this https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Changing_The_Site_URL and tried what it suggested (adding the two lines to the wp-config.php file

define(‘WP_HOME’,’https://example.com’);
define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’https://example.com’);

and now i get the error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/philackl/public_html/wp/wp-config.php on line 5

do you need to see my wp-config file to see what the error is? i’ve looked for missing ;, etc. and can’t seem to see what’s wrong with line five.

define('WP_HOME','https://example.com');
define('WP_SITEURL','https://example.com');

remove those 2 lines

Thanks…. I removed those two lines and now have the same error but on line 22:

/** MySQL database username */
define(‘DB_USER’, ‘philackl_wrdp1’);

I double checked and that’s how it was in the original.

Any suggestion on what i need to do?

I would copy wp-config-sample.php again
line numbers are not always accurate
you’ve likely introduced a space or out of place character

I went ahead as suggested and redid the wp-config file.

Now there’s a different error:

Not Found
The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any idea what that means or how to get it working?

it’s here but now you have another issue
one of your url’s point to the root of your blog
they both need to point to
https://www.philackland.com/wp

Hi… I followed the directions on https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Changing_The_Site_URL and added the two lines again to the config file and it is working!
