Can’t Login?

  • I have installed WP to a create a test/development site at test.menergy.org.au and when I try to log in at wp-admin.php it comes back with ‘Server Not Found’, when I log in via wp-login.php it gives me a login screen, but when I fill out the username/password fields and press return in comes back with ‘Server Not Found’?

    Does anybody know the reasons and what to do to get it working?

  • Hi whateverbatch,

    When I try to visit test.menergy.org.au, I am automatically redirected to https://www.test.menergy.org.au, which then loads the following error message:

    This site can’t be reached

www.test.menergy.org.au’s server DNS address could not be found.

    However, when I go to https://test.menergy.org.au/wp-login.php, I get a login page although the CSS is not loading properly.

    I am guessing that your database and wp-config don’t have all the right settings in place. I think your WordPress install is not where your database thinks it is and you may have some DNS settings that need adjusting.

    Can you get into your database via phpMyAdmin?
