Can’t Login

I am getting a very similar message myself –

I am soooo new to all this – I have absolutely no idea where to start.
I tried clearing my cache in my browser, tried using a different browser, tried getting in through siteground, I searched for solutions on google – but the ones I understand involved logging in… which I can’t.
I was able to login once today. Then i ran the updates. Since then I have not been able to get access.

Me three. I just upgraded to WP 5.5 and bam, the admin menu is gone and I have a bunch of errors. Well, my day is ruined.

Okay, I got it to work by renaming the plugins folder to plugins.hold, refreshing the page, going to the plugins page, and renaming the folder back to plugins. Then I reactivated the non problematic plugins, and then they had a bunch of updates to download, so I did all that.

Then I reactivated the problematic plugin from the warnings and the warnings came back, but after a minute the plugin showed an update was available, so I downloaded it and refreshed the page and the error was gone.

It looks to be back to normal so far, except for this buggy bar over the top of the side menu that scrolls up with the content section.

But, how do you FTP? I am seriously out of my depth here. I have no FTP thingy. I have only ever used the WordPress login page and the dashboard and I don’t know how to do any of the other stuff. If I can’t sign in, how can I change anything? I am totally lost.

@hparkin Yea, I am not sure how to access plugins or do any of the suggested help. can anyone advise further? I have experience with Weebly and Wix website but I am completely new to WordPress. please advise. @shanemac10
