Can't login admin, verification needed

  • Hi There,

    Since a couple of weeks i’ve got a problem when i try to log in on my admin panel.

    When i enter my website.nl/wp-admin i get an pop up that an extra verification is needed with a username and password, but i tried al mine wordpress usernames and password but it doesn’t work.

    can anyone help me please?!

  • That sounds like you either installed a plugin, or changed the .htaccess to limit access.

    Do you have ftp access to the site, or can you look inside /wp-admin with a control panel file manager to see if there is a .htaccess and what it says? If there is a .htaccess, try renaming it to .htaccess-old and then try and login.

    can’t find any htcacces file and also i don’t have extra plugins for security or something. So bad ?? Hopefully someone can help me!
