Can't Login After Automatic 4.0 Upgrade

Thank you. i disabled the plug-ins but that didn’t work so I enabled them again and I do have twentyfourteen installed. If all i was supposed to do to get it to appear is change the name of my current theme folder, then that did not work either and I am still not able to log in. It just made the screen blank and nothing appears on any of my pages at all.

re: the login page. I am not getting an error message when I try to log in, it’s just that nothing happens.

When i try to login into: https://www.erinjackson.net/blog/wp-login.php and then when i enter my info and click the login button the address turns into: https://www.erinjackson.net/blog/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.erinjackson.net%2Fblog%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

Is that indicative or anything or was it always that way and I just didn’t notice?

If that doesn’t resolve the issue, try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

Hi all,

i’m facing an error after the WP 4.1.1 update:

Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Session_Tokens’ not found in /htdocs/public/www/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 884

I followed the instructions provided by other users with the same problem in this section but can’t fix it.

I already deleted and replaced the wp.admin and wp.includes folders with a fresh version and disabled all plugins and themes folders before the update. I’m still getting the same error.

Frank, you’ve found the solution? I have no idea.

I just copied “all” the files from the update over, and now there appears to be no errors. The change log of revised files is incomplete. I think the settings.php file in the WP root directory might be a major culprit in the update. But, having copied “all” the update files, I can’t be sure.

Helped me to copy the wp-settings.php with a newer version 4.1.1.
The problem was gone.

I had a wordpress site running without any problems. I updated to the new version and updated all the plugins and now i can no longer get into the site. The login + sign that was part of the site is no longer visible. I tried to login through the admin url https://techlabcenter.com/index/wp-admin/ I get a white page. HELP!!!
