Can't Login After latest Update

  • Logged in to site today, saw there was an update available, updated, all ran fine, but then it logged me out when finished. So I went to login again, and can’t login or access the dashboard.

    Steps I’ve taken:

    Manually updated (again, via FTP) everything except wp-content.
    Renamed plugins folder to old-plugins
    Tried logging in and couldn’t.

    Then renamed all themes to oldthemes and manually uploaded latest version of twentyfifteen.
    Tried logging in and couldn’t.

    Renamed .htaccess to old-htaccess. That didn’t work either.

    Right now I have gone back to the theme I was previously using so the site at least looks ok for the moment, but I really need to access (it’s used once a year for an annual fundraiser and I need to update for this year).

    When I log in, the login screen doesn’t really change, the url that is written looks like this:

    https://strutmemphis.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fstrutmemphis.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1
