Can’t login and CSS styles are gone

    Hi all,

    When I try to log in to my admin, all the CSS is completely gone. Then, after I type in username and password, I get this page from Firefox:

    “The page you tried to access does not exist on this server. This page may not exist due to the following reasons:

    1. You are the owner of this web site and you have not uploaded (or incorrectly uploaded) your web site. For information on uploading your web site using FTP client software or web design software, click here for FTP Upload Information.

    2. The URL that you have entered in your browser is incorrect. Please re-enter the URL and try again.

    3. The Link that you clicked on incorrectly points to this page. Please contact the owner of this web site to inform them of this situation.”

    Also…when I went to my blog from my regular site (https://www.kristincurrier.com/wordpress/) I see the theme CSS is gonzo. Nothing but HTML with no styling.

    I was in the middle of installing a plugin and changing some settings when the whole thing pretty much hit the deck.

    Any ideas what could be amiss?

  • looks like your blog link is wrong.
    If you look in the source code, you’ll see that your theme is trying to locate the files at
    https://kristincurrier.com/blog
    and not
    https://kristincurrier.com/wordpress

    Did you change the url of your blog in the settings?

    You’ll need to go in the database look under the options table and reset the link to the proper url.

    Aha. I was trying to change the link, but didn’t think I hit the save button after I thought better of it.

    I just wanted to thank you again. I had a hard time navigating through the database (I am new to databases) but I found it, and the blog is back to normal. Plus, I learned a thing or two about my database.
