• Let me just say, I hate forced PHP upgrades from my host. They keep breaking my site. So, I recently returned to my site after two years of inactivity, to find that I couldn’t login, among other things. Errors appear at the top of every page as well in regards to a plugin (wordpress-support) that I don’t have. I tried doing a manual upgrade, but that didn’t solve anything. So…. I don’t know. I am terrible at this stuff. Any help that anyone could offer would be most appreciated.

    Login.php errors:

Warning: include_once(/home/axl2/sitenews.sydlexia.com/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-support/wordpress-support.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/axl2/sitenews.sydlexia.com/wp-settings.php on line 225

Additionally, it says the login is not secure. And: “ERROR: Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output.”

  • Kindly browse your site’s file system via FTP ad delete(keeping one local backup) the “wordpress-support” folder located on “/home/axl2/sitenews.sydlexia.com/wp-content/plugins/”.

Now tray to browse admin dashboard.

    Keep me posted.

The wordpress-support folder does not exist on the server, and I don’t have it either of my old back-ups.

Kindly login to your site from here – https://sitenews.sydlexia.com/wp-login.php

Also kindly note that, your site is being attacked by malware.

I believe I have gotten it sorted out thanks to your help. And it turns out wordpress-support WAS on the server; I was logging in to an old FTP user with an old installation that wasn’t auto-deleted when I switched ownership to a new user.
