Can’t login different user, stuck with 1 user

    The weirdest thing sinds yesterday, no changes, as far as I know, were made to the website.

    I log in on computer, with an e-mail and passw. (user: A)
    I log out on computer.
    Then, I log in with a different e-email and passw. (user: B)
    I get logged in with the previous e-mail! (i.e. user A!)

    Very strange. Even with different browser on same computer, I fill in different e-mail and passw (user: C), still get logged in as the first user (user: A)!

    I’ve tested this from the phone as well. Same problem. I can’t log in a different user, keep stuck on the first user.

    No idea why this happens or even how this is possible. I’ve looked for ways to ‘clean wordpress of cookies/cash/sessions after logout’ but couldn’t find anything on it.

    Anyone familiar with this problem? Or knows an option somewhere, so this becomes impossible? My users are unlikely to use more than 1 user account, but this shouldn’t be possible.

  • Something is very broken on your site in that case. There’s no way that switching in one browser can affect a separate browser.

    Your best is to try to deactivate your other plugins one by one, starting with anything related to caching, to see if you can identify the culprit.

    Also, clearing all your browser cookies might help too.

    Are you trying to use same emailaddress for the users?

    yes, have been using different e-mail addresses with passw. and different user rolls

    Very odd indeed. I used edge, safari, chrome and firefox and all of them did the same. login A, logout A, Try to login with B, but get logged in with A instead.

    Now I’ve deleted Litespeed Cashe.. and now the problem is solved! So it seems Litespeed kept session active attached to IP or something (my guess as a total noob). Very strange.

    So in time, when website is ready, will find another cache plugin to optimize some of it ??
