    I tried to update two plugins, but got a 404 error, then when I tried to refresh and access the dashboard it said “Briefly offline for maintenance.. etc”, then after a few minutes I refreshed and received two lines or errors:

    Warning: require_once(D:\Hosting\8896834\html\wp-content\plugins\jetpack/require-lib.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\Hosting\8896834\html\wp-content\plugins\jetpack\jetpack.php on line 54

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘D:\Hosting\8896834\html\wp-content\plugins\jetpack/require-lib.php’ (include_path=’.;C:\php5\pear’) in D:\Hosting\8896834\html\wp-content\plugins\jetpack\jetpack.php on line 54

    HELP! I can’t access anything! I’m fairly new to WordPress.

  • You’ll need to use FTP or Cpanel to access your site files on the server and delete the JetPack plugin folder here:

    wp-content
         plugins
             jetpack - DELETE THIS FOLDER

    Ask your hosting company if you don’t know how to use FTP or Cpanel.
