Can't login to admin?!?!

  • Not sure what went wrong.

    I uploaded a header image. Using the “Graphene” theme on my site. Left the safari window open as I was logged into my admin page. I had to do browser reset, and now every time I try to login to my site /wp-admin/ page, it just keeps redirecting me. Any ideas?

    It’s just a constant redirect. I tried using forgot password, and nothing. Any suggestions?

    Just tried using my iPad app to login, and I’m still able to access posts and some admin features from the app, but from any web browser, it just doesn’t happen.

    *its the dashboard I no longer have access to. I also remembered something else I did, I changed the title and the description.

    Glad I can still post using iPad, but frustrated I can’t access the dashboard

    Kmessinger, thank you for responding… although I’m not sure how “changing the site url” applies here? Is there a specific part within this post that I need to look at? I didn’t see anything about what to do when changing the settings in the general tab? (Sorry for my ignorance here… i’m still new to wordpress)

    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    So i ended up having a backup version of my wordpress docs from about a week or so ago, and copied all those docs into my current folder, overwriting whatever was in there, and now I’m able to login. I should’ve done it file by file to see which document was corrupt, but you live and learn.
