Can’t login to admin cp after 2.6 upgrade

  • Hi All,

    I had been putting the upgrade off for some time because I was afraid something would go wrong…and something did.

    After upgrading to 2.6 I can no longer login to my admin cp. The login page loads (wp-login.php) and I’m entering the correct credentials but the page simply reloads and asks me to “please login again” in a never ending loop.

    I contacted my host (GoDaddy) for assistance but they have said there’s nothing wrong on their end and that they don’t support 3rd party software.

    Can anyone here offer any assistance?

  • try this
    re-upload /wp-admin and /wp-includes and delete all cookies for your site as well as clear the browser cache.
