    Hello

    I’ve got some serious problems with my website. Yesterday i activated force logout after 120 minute of session. After that i am even unable to log in to my admin panel. Every time i am going to login, i see the msg “Your session has expired because it has been over 120 minutes since your last login. Please log back in to continue.”
    Anyone got this problem ? Pls suggest how to fix it.

    Hi,

    FTP into your site and rename the plugins folder name from all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall to tmp-all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall. This process automatically disables the plugin in your site. (Note: If you still can’t log into your site, make sure you have cleared the plugins entries from the .htaccess file.)

    Once you are logged in rename the plugins folder back to its original name and enable our plugin. You might want to disable the force logout feature.

    Let me know if the above helps you.

    Thank you

    @mbrsolution Thanks for your reply
    @mbrsolution it will certainly deactivate the plugin but, after login to my website and re-activate the plugin, it will forcefully log me out as the same is happening with me now. Is there any way to change force logout option from elsewhere? Or is there any way to restore the plugin before activating the AIOWPS.
    Or if this because bug in AIOWPS then the plugin should update so that when I login to my account, first i will updated the plugin before reactivation of the AIOWPS and no redirect will be made there after.
    Though I have restored the site but it didn’t resolve the issue, that means the restore can’t restore the changes made for checking force logout option in AIOWPS.

    Please help me out

    Hi,

    When you re-enable the plugin did you say No to the following message?

    Would you like All In One WP Security & Firewall to re-insert the security rules in your .htaccess file which were cleared when you deactivated the plugin?

    The above will reset the plugin and remove all of your settings. In other words, you will have to setup the plugin again. This is the quickest way to fix this issue.

    Let me know if the above helps you.

    Thank you

    I can log in after changing the plugin name in file manager. After login and changing its name (AIOWPS) to the original plugin name and going to activate it, i cannot see this msg :
    Would you like All In One WP Security & Firewall to re-insert the security rules in your .htaccess file which were cleared when you deactivated the plugin?

    It just logged me out and redirect to the login page showing the same msg “Your session has expired because it has been over 120 minutes since your last login. Please log back in to continue.”

    Pls note: I tried the same trick on my another site and there i could see the msg to re-insert the security rules. But not in this case.

    Pls guide what to do now.

    Hi, I have had the same problem when I activated the “force logout” and wasn’t able to login again.
    I was checking the plugin files in the root folder of my wordpress install and checked the “wp-security-core.php” for logout wording.

    I deleted this row:

    do_action(‘aiowps_force_logout_check’);

    and voilà, it worked for me again and I was able to login normally. I don’t know if this is the correct way to do this, but I was too lazy to make the whole install again after resetting the plugin as it was proposed above. Thanks to the plugin contributors, this is a wonderful security plugin that offers great security tools without slowing down my website! The force logout option might be troubled by another plugin but can be replaced by another plugin such as the wpforce logout plugin.
