Can’t login to site

As described in this article, in WordPress, there several ways for Rsetting Your Password .

OMG, I don’t get this……….

I have two www.ads-software.com accounts….. each is associated with a different website; one seems associated with an email, and the other a username (ireland381)… I somehow reset the www.ads-software.com email for ireland381, but that doesn’t let me log into the website.

This is maddening. I never changed anything! It was working yesterday!

And yes I’ve looked at the damn “resetting your password” page, jesus christ, if it’s freely and obviously available on the website, don’t you think I would have looked at that????

I don’t know how to reset it other than just requesting a reset, I don’t know how to do any of the other options.

This article lists several completely different ways to reset your password. Any one of them will work and do the job. Find the one that’s right for you and use that: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/resetting-your-password/

My preference is to use PHPMYADMIN to just enter the new password and be done with it.

Because these forums are for community support, not one on one help. That article has pictures on how to use PHPMYADMIN and almost all hosts have it installed. If you want hand holding for this, as t-p said, try the IRC channel or hire someone to do this for you.

Yeeaah…. that’s kind of my point. I have literally nobody who can provide technical support, it makes no damn sense to me.

And yeah I still have no idea what phpmyadmin is, even with pictures, I don’t know what that is. I’m just a blogger, I don’t know how this stuff works.

I think you’re misunderstanding things here. WordPress is both built and supported for free by volunteers who do this on their free time, so we don’t have any phone support etc. here.

We don’t actually run your site or have any form of control over it in any way. So *you* must resolve your problem, because nobody here can do anything to your site, in any way whatsoever.

Hence, You need to resolve this issue with your developer.

If you can’t do the work yourself, as sterndata said, you have the option of engaging a professional to assist you. If you want to follow that option and hire someone for this, then please try https://jobs.wordpress.net/ and do not accept any hire or direct access offers posted to these forums.
