• I just moved my blog from one server to another. It seemed to work – when I type in the new URL, the blog does indeed appear and everything is there.

However, the “site admin” link doesn’t appear on my blog, and when I enter “/wp-admin” after my blog address, I simply get a blank white screen. I cannot login to WP-Admin at all.

    Help!

I found out that the problem was due to a corrupt plugin. Using your FTP program, rename the “plugins” folder in WP-Content to something else. This will disable all of your plugins. Then see if you can login to WP-Admin. (Worked for me.) If you can, then enable plugins one at a time to see which one is causing problems.

GAME2kx So what is your URL??? The one in your profile is incorrect.

For all: The three primary reasons for a white screen:

You did not copy all the files successfully
You did not disable your plugins or after installing you enabled a non-compatible plug-in
Your current theme does not work with 2.5

dos not matter i think i have got it to work. thanks anyway

    ??

i am trying to install wordpress. My website is hosted on apollo hosting and my interface is plesk. I have uploaded the files but now cannot access them thru my browser – i get an error message – 404 file not found on this server.

I go back and check to make sure the file is there and from the plesk side i can see the file but cannot get to it from the browser side to activate the install.

Any help would be most appreciated.
