Can’t login to wp-admin

    Hi,
    Lately I’ve been log-in to my wp-admin just fine.
    But today somehow I couldn’t access my website dashboard anymore. When I tried to log in, it had this error:

    Error establishing a database connection

    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    Actually I was able to fix this myself

    Just in case anybody has the same problem as mine, here is my troubleshooting, hope this helps:
    – Go to cpanel – mySQL – create new username and password
    – Assign this new username to your most current database
    – Go to wp-config.php, update DB Name (database name), DB username (new one), DB password (new one)

    Then you good to go.
