Can't login to wp-admin

  • Hi there! I just recently purchased a domain with cheap domains. I then got hosting through blue host, and trying to install wordpress.

    So I install, says I can log in via my website/wp-admin. Ok all good – try it – not good!

    All I see is the cheap domain’s ‘this site is parked’. No login.

    I uninstalled WP, then installed again under my website/blog/wp-admin and was able to log in. Started looking at themes and all of a sudden reverts back to ‘this site is parked’ and I haven’t been able to get back in to login since.

    SO frustrating! I have searched here, googled, most say to clear cache/delete cookies – done and done and nothing ??

    -try contacting the hosting provider if they have any problem at their end, or they made any changes to your account, or if there are any limitations/restrictions, etc . Also check with them if you need to upgrade the hosting account in order to install and run your verson of the WordPress.

    Did you change name servers at cheap domains to point to Blue Host

    I think govpatel has it here… if your domain is hosted with a different company (I.E., not Bluehost) then they have no idea you’ve moved to a new server. Think of it as the website equivalent of a “change of address” with the post office when you move to a new house. Until you update your settings there, you will not have connected your URL with the host where your WP site is located.

    Contact Cheap Domains support and ask them to help you with a DNS change, and also contact Bluehost and get your nameserver info… Cheap Domains will need it to “flip the switch”
