Hi thanks for the response but I followed that link and deleted the information for the plugin from the htaccess file via cpanel on my server as explained in the article however I still cannot access the login page. Neither the secret url address nor has the original /wp-admin page been reinstated. I don′t know what to do?

Try the following instructions. They will delete and remove any entries in your database.

    – FTP to your host and rename this plugin’s folder or delete it.

    – FTP the .htaccess file to your computer and edit and remove all the code between and including the tags:
    # BEGIN All In One WP Security
    # END All In One WP Security

    – Log into phpMyAdmin and locate the dabase for the website you are having problems with. Go to the wordpress “options” table. Look for the row which has the option_name value of aio_wp_security_configs and delete that row.

Hi, I′ve done everything you said but I can′t find the options table to in phpMyAdmin to delete the row. How do I find that?

Thank you very much for your help I really appreciate it. I′m a little new to programming and code.

If you have searched in phpMyAdmin and can’t find those entries mentioned above then perhaps the plugin has already been removed from the database. In that case try the following, deactivate all your plugins including this one. Carry out another test and see if you can log in.

You will have to FTP into your website to carry out the above.

You can rename the folder, that will deactivate the plugin.

I′ve gained access many thanks for your assistance, you have been insanely helpful. What′s the best thing to do now, re-download the plugin and activate and hope this doesn′t happen again? Is there a reason it happened in the first place?

Hi, yes you can install the plugin again.

There are various reason why this could have happened for example you updated a plugin or theme that caused a conflict.

If your issue is resolved can you mark this support thread as resolved.

    Thank you
