• Tonight when I was logged into my wp-admin page looking at a new customer order on my woocommerce plugin, the page crashed and when I tried to relogin I got the “sorry you are not allowed to access this page” error.

It does it no matter what browser I try.
I’ve reset my passwords to no avail
Tried doing a backup and still nothing
Tried a few other options that some googling said to try like temporarily changing the name of the plugin folder (this just opens a blank page as my site is run off woocommerce on a wootique theme so removing the plugin folder nothing loads naturally)
Tried renaming the wp-access folder and nothing changed.

For a few months now I haven’t been able to access my admin page via C-Panel so have been logging directing through my website url + /wp-admin/ but now it doesn’t want to do that either.

I am at the limits of my ability to do this as I know NOTHING about coding or anything so any replies will need to be in basic speak.

I need to sort this ASAP as I’ve got open orders on my webshop that I need to fill by Monday so they can be posted.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,

What is happening when you are trying to access wp-admin page via URL? Are you able to login or at lease able to see the login page? What error message do you see when you login? Did you try contacting your host and register the complaint?

All I get is as the attached picture.
If I went through the cpanel login, I would het my headers of my page load with the rest filled in with a 404 error, but now I go that way it just goes to the same blank page with the “you don’t have access”

my host is hopeless and says its a wordpress issue

Ok turns out one of the plugins removed the admin rights for my profile.
SO I was abkle to login again and ran the WP and plugin updates as I rolled back to an old backup, now it forever stays in the HTTP 500 internal server error even going to my website as a visitor
