Can’t make changes to gallery, can’t add new photos

    When I try to add new picture to gallery it sais Failed after I hit Update button.

    I reinstalled plugin and deleted all galleries. I created new galleires with different names. I deleted all files with “photo-gallery” from cpanel and I changed the theme too.

    It’s strange that I tried to add multiple times the same picture and it appears as having the name (1)_(1) , as if it sees it as having been added in the group before. But after I hit update I get “Failed” message and no image shows in the gallery list.

  • I’m having the same issue – new images just won’t upload and no explanation as to why. Hoping you get an answer.

    Could you please let us know which version you are using currently?

    I would kindly ask you to ask your hosting company to give you an error log of your website.

    It may show any potential errors.

    Kim, are you referring to WordPress version or the plugin version? For me it’s WP 5.2.2 and just logging back in there’s a new update for the Gallery – wasn’t there last week. However, that still hasn’t fixed the problem.

    However, will ask my IT support to have a look and see what they can see too.

    Here’s further information regarding my issue:

    – PHP GD library is installed on the web server
    – nothing in the error log
    – php version 7.0
    – folder permission are all 755 (correct)
    – normal wordpress media gallery uploads work
    – wordpress version 5.22
    – images will not upload with plugin either as a direct upload or via import from the media library

    We are kindly asi=king you to deactivate and delete the current version of the Photo Gallery plugin and install the following zip file of the plugin.

    Thanks, Kim, I’ll give that a go and will get back to you.

    I still get the same problem – failed to import from media library or failed to upload direct from my computer. No idea why this problem when it’s always worked well before.

    I’m going to have to try and find another gallery as the poor client has been waiting for a while for this and still can’t get it working.
