Can’t Make it Work

  • I’ve installed it and loaded the “Blog sidebar” under Appearance > Widgets with widgets, just to try it.
    Nothing shows on the blog page. Am I missing anything?

  • Are you using the Elementor Theme Builder? You still need to actually add the sidebar to the blog template. The area you’re referring to just assigns the widgets to the sidebar.

    Yes, I’m using the Elementor theme builder. With the Hello Elementor theme.

    I understand Appearance > Widgets only assigns the widgets to the sidebar.

    Where I’m lost is: how do I make the sidebar display on the theme? I need to actually add the sidebar code piece on the PHP?

    No, you’ll go to Templates -> Theme Builder -> then change the actual Template for either the Archive or the Single. When you edit the template, it’ll give you a “Sidebar” module you can drag and drop into the template. Make a 2 column section then drag and drop in the Sidebar.
