    Hi,

I’m trying to set this feature:

If email address of the user’s Social Account matches with an already existing account at your website, that social account will be linked to existing account. User would be able to manage this from Social Account Linking interface at their profile page.

    together with this one:

If enabled and Social ID provider does not provide user’s email address on login, user will be asked to provide his/her email address. Otherwise, a dummy email will be generated

    and this one:

If enabled, email provided by the user will be verified by sending a confirmation link to that email. User would not be able to login without verifying his/her email

    But I keep getting error:

Email you entered is already registered or invalid

    ————————

So I have a user with 2 emails bound to 1 facebook account: [email protected] address and [email protected]. He has main email set to email1. While on my website he has email2.

He tries to login with a facebook account, being asked for email, enters his secondary email which is the same as the one in his profile on my site, but is different from primary facebook email – and gets the error. How do I fix this please?

Same problem appears when a user already have logged in with Facebook, but other social networks do not share his email address, and if he is specifying the email manually – he gets the “Email you entered is already registered or invalid”

    Hi Sam,

Yes, our plugin’s Email required popup doesn’t accept an email address that is already registered at your website, just to keep things simple. In this case, user can link another account from the Social Account Linking interface at their profile page.

    Heateor,

Ok, I think that would be fine, however I don’t see any possibility to link another account in profile page. Is it only in a paid version or something?

    Thank you!

If you are using BuddyPress, you should see an option to enable Social Account Linking at profile page, in Advanced Configuration section at Super Socializer > Social Login page in admin.
