can't make new links (pages or blog)

i can’t make new links on pages or my blog.

What do you mean? How do you insert the link? WHY can’t you make new links?

all i did differently today was adding a couple of plugins

Have you disabling the plugins that you recently added?

from the html editor as i have always made links, clicked on the page within my site (within the that i want to link to within the insert/edit link editor. when i publish the page and preview it there is no link. i made links yesterday just fine.

and yes i’ve disabled and deleted the plugins and cleared my cache.

Are the pages that had links prior to the problem still “linking”?

yes, if you look at the site and click on PORTFOLIO on the menu you can see that the “portraits” link is still working. i wanted to link my other gallery pages but can’t.

i tried making a new page as a test and couldn’t get links to post there nor in my blog. all the old links are working fine.

Hmmm.. first I’ve heard of this.

Okay, did you look at the HTML code after the link is inserted? Does it have all the appropriate tags, and in the correct order?

i’m using the link manager within wordpress to create the links.

now this is really weird, i tried making a link manually, and it worked fine.

still can’t make links with the editor within wordpress…only if i create it through the internal links editor i can’t see the links when i view the published page.

i’ve run ccleaner and my virus scanner.

there’s supposed to be two links above the test by Bunny
and there’s supposed to be two more links at the bottom above the manually added link.

in total there should be 8 links on that page but i’m only seeing 4. if you use firebug you can see that something is there.

some ppl have tried to tell me it’s errors with my html or css but i don’t think so because a friend can login on another computer and post links just fine. i’ve since run CCleaner, updated flash, and still same problem. i’ve also disabled all plugins…wondering if i should us one of the wordpress reset plugins to reset the database but that still doesn’t explain why someone else on another computer can make links when i made her admin.
