• I am currently unable to locate the domain where I installed WordPress.

I have been through all processes; creating database, downloading WP, editing config file and uploading via FTP.

As I am working on something new I created a subdomain for the database and uploaded WP into a sub folder in the root. It seems to have all been uploaded and I can view all wp files in the sub folder but I cannot access the domain via the url.

Any help would be greatly received, thanks in advance.

404 indicates failure to communicate with the server. Reasons for this failure to communicate with the server can vary.

    – Check the server error log for your hosting account for any specific error message. Ask your webhost for assistance to locate them.

    – are you your own host? then you need to find out why it fails to communicate with the server.

    – If you are on a remote server, discuss this issue with your hosting provider as well. Ask them why it fails to communicate with the server.
