Every time I try to log into my WordPress website there is an error that pops up involving mojo marketplace. I am using the sportspress Rookie theme and sportspress plugin. I have not done anything else but now I cannot log in.

this is the error message that it shows. How would I go about fixing this.

Mojo Marketplace was probably installed by your host. Please contact their tech support for help using it. In the meantime, you can remove it by deleting its directory, wp-content/plugins/mojo-marketplace-wp-plugin via FTP or the file manager app in your hosting control panel.

The one-click WordPress installs for all EIG hosting brands (Bluehost, Hostgator, Arvixe, and about 75 others) include a bunch of garbage, Mojo Marketplace among them. Last time I checked, the garbage also included a couple MU plugins.

This is a common problem with one-click installs, which is why most applications (WordPress included) strongly advise to not use them. It is also a problem with many “WordPress Hosting” plans. Such plans are oftentimes nothing more than a standard hosting plan with a “one-click install” version of WordPress pre-installed.

You’re not the only one. I just had a previous client call me cause her site is down. Immediately I noticed the PHP error was pointing to the Mojo plugin (the same exact error you have). I checked her log files and something was changed last night. Definitely on the host end (Bluehost). Telling tech support to fix it as I type. You can delete the directory, but I am notifying them as well so that the bug is officially logged in a ticket.

Same issue with 4 cloud hosted sites. Hosting provider fixed it quick. I hate that “my site is down” text.
