Can’t “Optimize the Wordfence Firewall”

  • The Protection Level is: Basic WordPress Protection
    Firewall Status is: Enabled and Protecting

    I want to enable Extended Protection. When I click the button to “Optimize the Wordfence Firewall”, I get a 404 error at this location:

    https://uniquebeadedearrings.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=WordfenceWAF&wafAction=configureAutoPrepend

    I’ve manually created the wordfence-waf.php file, inserting the actual server paths as directed. I’ve edited this line:

    auto_prepend_file =

    in php.ini (inside public_html) to this:

    auto_prepend_file = wordfence-waf.php

    and uploaded the new version. Still no change. Still getting the 404 error. Can anyone tell me how to enable Extended Protection? does anyone know why the Optimize process would fail in this way?
